Michael Saylor Turns Bitcoin into Gold

In the current cryptocurrency scenario, one name stands out: Michael Saylor, the president of MicroStrategy. His Bitcoin investing journey has been remarkable, culminating in an impressive profit of over $1.5 billion.

Since September 2020, Saylor has been a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency market, dedicating a considerable sum of $5.325 billion to acquire 174,530 BTC, as indicated by Saylortracker, a portal dedicated to tracking his movements in the Bitcoin market.

With a keen eye for opportunities, Saylor achieved an average cost of $30,512.81 per Bitcoin over three years. This strategy proved fruitful, with the current value of Bitcoin being around US$39,411. This appreciation transformed Saylor’s initial investment into almost US$7 billion, specifically US$6,900,641,579.28, resulting in a profit of US$1,575,241,579.28 and a historical gain of 29.58%.

Saylor’s investment strategy has included some bold moves, especially notable this year. Four days ago, he acquired 16,130 Bitcoins for a value of $593.3 million, with an average cost per Bitcoin of $36,785. This recent investment has already yielded a substantial profit of US$42,978,819.60.

Additionally, November 2023 was a significant month for Saylor’s Bitcoin investments. At the beginning of the month, he purchased 155 BTC for $5.3 million, which is now worth $6.114 million. In total, in November, Saylor added 16,285 BTC to his portfolio.

However, not all of Saylor’s investments were equally profitable. The peak of the last bull cycle, on February 24, 2021, saw the investor commit US$1.026 billion to purchase 19,452 Bitcoins at an average price of US$52,765 per Bitcoin. This specific investment currently represents a loss of US$258.678 million.

In contrast, Saylor’s most profitable investments occurred in September 2020, when he entered the Bitcoin market with an average price of $10,419.15 and $11,652.84. At the time of publication, the price of Bitcoin was quoted at US$39,584.99, up 2% in the last 24 hours.
