Moment of the Athletes
Trippier’s news is a blow after Atleti’s last important victory. The rojiblanco team dominated the first half against a Basque team that surprised by backing down in the first minutes and leaving the initiative to their rival to surprise in a counterattack, for which they counted on the reappearance of their expert in the last pass, a David Silva who noticed the inactivity.
Trippier was part of the team that Simeone brought out at the Reale Arena. Now, Cholo will have to get used to not having the Englishman on his side for a season, if the sanction is confirmed. Trippier would miss 13 games in total.
