Expert highlights that the cryptocurrency sector is growing twice as fast as the Internet

An expert recently highlighted the growth of the cryptocurrency sector. Raoul Pal, co-founder and CEO of Real Vision, expressed his optimistic vision related to the future of cryptocurrencies within the financial sector.

In his statement, Pal highlighted that the market would experience massive adoption rates, even surpassing that of the Internet. The renowned financial expert recently participated in a podcast on the Bankless YouTube channel.

Raoul Pal commented on how cryptocurrencies are being adopted globally, delving deeper into his own comment made earlier. The expert emphasized in a post earlier this month that crypto adoption was growing twice as fast as the Internet.

“On days like today, just remember that encryption is still being adopted at twice the speed of the internet and should reach something around 1 billion users by the end of 2025…”, he wrote on his official X platform account, on April 2nd.

When commenting on the subject in the interview, Pal highlighted that, when calculating the crypto adoption rate on the internet, the number of wallet addresses and IP addresses must be taken into account. The renowned financial expert emphasized that statistics showed that there were approximately 550 million people using cryptocurrencies.

As the fourth Bitcoin halving approaches, the cryptocurrency community is paying attention to possible price fluctuations. Historically, halving events impact prices, with Bitcoin rallies often coinciding with halving events. The Bitcoin halving event is expected to take place on Friday, April 19th.

Given the proximity, analysts from the research and brokerage company Bernstein expressed the potential for a resumption of Bitcoin’s bull run after the event. According to information from The Block, experts believe that the largest cryptocurrency on the market will resume its upward trajectory after the halving.

In a recently released note, Bernstein analysts Gautam Chhugani and Mahika Sapra highlighted the lofty target for Bitcoin of US$150,000 by the end of next year.
