Exchange pays homage to Ayrton Senna at the Monaco Grand Prix

n a special partnership between Senna Global and cryptocurrency exchange OKX, main sponsor of McLaren Racing, the “McLaren SENNA by OKX” campaign was launched, celebrating Ayrton Senna’s iconic legacy on the Formula 1 tracks.

Within the campaign, OKX announced an exclusive tribute to Ayrton Senna, with a commemorative painting on the McLaren car in honor of the legendary driver. The tribute comes 30 years after the driver’s death, highlighting his lasting impact on McLaren and F1.

Bianca Senna, representative of Senna Global, highlighted the honor of the tribute:

“It is an honor to recognize Ayrton through these liveries, in collaboration with McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive. McLaren meant a lot to him, and together they achieved great success. It will be special to see this on the streets of Monaco.”

McLaren’s MCL38 model will feature a vibrant palette of yellow, green and blue, colors inspired by the Brazilian flag that appeared on Senna’s iconic helmet. This special livery will be present during the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix weekend, an iconic location in the driver’s career.

Tribute to Ayrton Senna

Senna is considered the most successful driver in McLaren’s history, having raced for the team between 1988 and 1993. With the British team, he won 35 of his 41 grand prix victories. Additionally, he won three drivers’ championships and four constructors’ championships.

Monaco, where Senna won six times, is the ideal setting to celebrate his life and career. “Senna and Monaco are synonymous”, commented Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing.

During the Monaco GP weekend, McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will wear custom Senna-inspired jumpsuits. Furthermore, fans will be able to participate in the celebration by purchasing exclusive products from the “Senna x Monaco” line, available at the McLaren Store. This line includes items with the colors and style of Senna’s time with the team.
