Elon Musk recently launched an artificial intelligence (AI) platform called Grok, which will compete directly with ChatGPT. Even with the recent launch, some cryptocurrencies with the same name have already been created, in an attempt to deceive the most inattentive investors.
“Announcing Grok! Grok is an AI modeled after The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, with the intention of answering almost everything and, much more difficult, even suggesting which questions to ask! Grok is designed to answer questions with a bit of wit and has a rebellious streak, so please don’t use it if you hate humor!” stated the team behind the project.
The team’s official statement highlighted the advantages of the new platform. “A unique and fundamental advantage of Grok is that it has real-time knowledge of the world through the 𝕏 platform. It will also answer spicy questions that are rejected by most other AI systems. Grok is still a very early beta product – the best we could do with 2 months of training – so expect it to improve quickly with each passing week with your help.”

After the launch, some alleged scammers are using the name of billionaire Elon Musk’s AI to deceive investors. An account focusing on Dogecoin (DOGE) wrote an alert: “Elon Musk & xAI are not associated with any crypto tokens. Please be careful.”
When commenting on the matter, Musk highlighted who will never create a cryptocurrency. “To be very clear, none of my companies will ever create a crypto token,” he said.
It is worth remembering that Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur, recognized as the visionary behind innovative companies such as Tesla and SpaceX, founded an artificial intelligence company called xAI, in July.
xAI’s mission, according to a tweet from Musk, is to “understand reality”. In a succinct message, the businessman wrote: “I am announcing the founding of xAI to get a sense of reality”.
