BTC in expectation and WIF enters the memecoin podium

The Good Friday holiday brought little volatility to the market, which did not register significant movements. Bitcoin today operates with a slight drop of 0.6% and its price fell slightly below US$70,000, reaching US$69,900.

In Brazil, the price fell 0.1% and BTC remained in the R$350,000 zone. The cryptocurrency accumulates gains of 4.1% in the week and 14.4% in the month, and could extend its streak to seven months of appreciation – something unprecedented in history.

In the Top 10, only BNB and Dogecoin opened the day on a high, rising 4.3% and 0.3%, respectively. DOGE accumulates gains of more than 33% in the week, which makes it the highlight among the Top 10 cryptocurrencies.

As for the other cryptocurrencies, they all opened the day lower, but with drops that did not exceed 1.2%. Ether (ETH), for example, fell just 1.2%, although the price remains at US$3,541. In Brazil, the cryptocurrency price fell slightly by 0.1% and the price remained at R$17,760.

However, the market continues to await the price closing on the 31st, which ends both the week and the month. The forecast remains the same as previous analyses: BTC needs to close above US$69,000. If this happens, it will be both an unprecedented historic milestone and a catalyst for possible new highs in April.

Bitcoin price today

With a global holiday – at least in Western Christian countries – the market did not register significant movements. The biggest negative highlight of the Top 100 was the 8.6% drop in Arweave (AR), followed by the 6.2% loss in STRK.

Among the biggest risers, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) went against BTC and rose 7.6%, while Celestia (TIA) opened the day up 9%. But the big highlight was Dogwifhat (WIF), whose increase reached 16.4%. Among the 10 largest memecoins, WIF registered the second biggest daily increase, second only to BRETT which rose 23%.

As a result of this appreciation, WIF surpassed Pepecoin (PEPE) in market value, accumulating US$3.6 billion against PEPE’s US$3.2 billion. Now, Solana’s memecoin is the third most valuable in this market, behind only Shiba Inu (SHIB) and the leader Dogecoin (DOGE).

WIF also accumulates gains of 383% in the week, the biggest increase of the period among the top 10 memecoins.
