Buying cryptocurrencies in Brazil will now be easier with a new integration to make payments in Pix. Ramp Network announced, on September 14, that it added the country’s Central Bank’s Pix system as a payment method.

The company is a startup that aims to offer payment infrastructure to connect crypto and traditional finance.

“Brazil, we have arrived. We are happy to announce that we have now enabled PIX as a payment method via Rampa! Earlier this year, we enabled local currencies (including the Brazilian real), our first milestone in Brazil!”

According to the official statement, with Pix, platform users can directly enter the main Layer 2 networks, top up their crypto wallets and participate in the global crypto economy.

“From now on, all our partners will be able to feel the direct benefits of having Pix enabled. Brazil Pix users now have instant and direct access to the fastest, easiest and most convenient way to integrate into our beloved web3 space, directly from their applications!”

The central bank of Brazil (BC) launched the Pix payment system in the country in 2021. The system was quickly adopted by Brazilians due to its functionality and practicality and, currently, it is one of the main forms of payments in Brazil.

It is worth remembering that two of the main cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance and Coinbase, integrate the pix payment system on their respective platforms.
