In a significant announcement at CoinDesk’s Consensus 2024 event, layer-1 blockchain Aptos (APT) revealed its partnership with Chainlink (LINK), a leader in real-world data provision. This collaboration marks the integration of the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Chainlink data feeds within the SCALE program.

This initiative is designed to strengthen the Aptos ecosystem by enabling developers to create robust and efficient decentralized applications (dApps) on the network. With this partnership, Aptos stands out as the first blockchain that employs the Move programming language to adopt the advanced solutions offered by Chainlink.

Integration with Chainlink is seen as a crucial step in overcoming the challenges of communicating across multiple blockchains, a growing obstacle as new networks emerge in the cryptocurrency space. Chainlink, recognized for facilitating this connection through its services including CCIP, has already demonstrated its effectiveness in large-scale projects such as its collaboration with SWIFT, an essential global banking communication system.

Aptos, created by former Meta members, focuses on offering a low-cost platform with high transactional efficiency. The Move language, initially developed for the Diem da Meta project, is the technical basis of Aptos, providing an ideal environment for the development of dApps.

This move not only boosts efficiency and security in creating decentralized applications, but also significantly expands Aptos’ capabilities, solidifying its position as an innovative force in the field of cryptocurrencies.
