Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano (ADA), recently provided a crucial update on the Chang hard fork in the ecosystem. The Chang hard fork aims to implement Voltaire, characterized by being a new governance system. As Hoskinson has already highlighted, Voltaire will be “the most advanced blockchain governance system” in the industry.

Responding to some criticism and in the face of intense debate in the ADA community, Hoskinson released a new update in which he indicated that they should be released soon: the comprehensive governance package, which will include the candidate node ready for the fork, in addition to the custody contract -body and provisional constitution.

In a post on his official X account on June 19, Hoskinson highlighted: “My understanding is that the entire package would be released with the release candidate node. So this is the ready candidate for the fork, the protection agreement and the interim constitution. I bet by Friday or before.”

Given the fervor that heats up the Cardano community amid developments in the ecosystem, many wonder whether this update will drive a price increase for the ADA cryptocurrency.

Charles Hoskinson Reveals Hard Fork Aiming to Boost Cardano

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano (ADA), highlighted that the blockchain is approaching an important update in its ecosystem. The Chang hard fork is expected to be launched later this month, promising to usher in a new era in the network that was titled the “Era of Voltaire”.

“It looks like June will be the month that Cardano Node reaches 9.0. This means that Cardano is ready for the Chang fork and waiting for 70% of SPOs to install the new node. Then, a fork could occur pushing Cardano into the Age of Voltaire. It is the most significant milestone in the history of Cardano and the industry as a whole,” he said.

It is worth remembering that, last month, Charles Hoskinson announced the integration of Cardano Improvement Proposal (CIP) 69 into the imminent Chang hard fork. In his own words, Hoskinson explained the decision-making process for including this proposal: “I saw the CIP-69 requests arriving. I spoke to the IOI delivery team and they spoke to the people at Intersect. There seems to be a lot of community demand for this, and CF has also been pushing for CIP-69 to be included in Chang.”
