However, WATER presents itself as a token with no intrinsic value or expected financial return, describing it as “completely useless and for entertainment purposes only.”

WATER Solana’s charitable purpose is one of the most intriguing aspects. The creators label the token as “charitable,” but details about how it will support social causes are still vague. The website states that WATER aims to ensure a fair redistribution of assets among holders while also supporting charitable causes. The intention is that by purchasing the memecoin, users can contribute to helping others without suffering personal losses.

The causes mentioned include deforestation and water shortages in Africa. To ensure transparency, the creators promise to use a separate public wallet address for donations and charitable campaigns. This promise, however, has yet to be translated into practical and measurable actions.

In addition to claims about asset redistribution and support for social causes, the token’s recent growth is also notable. According to CoinGecko, the WATER token has appreciated by over 200% in the last 24 hours. Interested parties can buy and trade the token on Bitget, BitMart, and MEXC.

Influencers and responsibility

Messi and Ronaldinho’s involvement in promoting WATER raises questions about the responsibility of celebrities when promoting financial products. Both stars have a history of having a significant influence on their followers, so their posts could attract a significant audience to the memecoin. However, the lack of clarity about the actual benefits of WATER and its charitable purpose could be a point of concern for potential investors.
